PROTECTING YOUR GOODS IN TRANSIT

Inspect your shipment prior to pick-up and assess how much your goods are worth. Then
decide what coverage suits you best, you have three options.

OPTION NO. 1 - Basic Coverage

At no extra charge, Brico Transportation Services Ltd. provides basic compensation for
damage and/or loss of your shipment. With this option, our maximum liability is $2.00 per
pound on the total weight of your shipment.

Example : If a load with a declared value of $450.00 and a weight of 80lbs is damaged or lost,
the maximum settlement will be: 80lbs x $2.00 = $160.00

To select this option: On the day of pick-up, check the line marked "Declared Value" on
your Bill of Lading and make sure it is left blank. If nothing is entered here Basic Coverage
automatically applies without additional charges.

OPTION NO. 2 - Replacement Value Coverage
For an extra charge you can increase the coverage on your shipment and ensure protection
to the replacement value of your goods. This option is called Replacement Value Coverage.
With this option, Brico's maximum liability is the lump-sum value declared on your shipment.

Example : If a load with a declared value of $450.00 and a weight of 80lbs is damaged or lost,
the maximum settlement will be: $450.00

To select this option: On the day of pick-up, enter the total declared value of your shipment
on the line marked "Declared Value" on the Bill of Lading. The value you enter must match the
INVOICE TOTAL declared on your Canada or US Customs Invoice. The extra charge for
Replacement Value Coverage is calculated at 50 cents per $1,000.00.

OPTION NO. 3 - Shipments of Extraordinary Value

This category refers to loads with a replacement value higher than the INVOICE TOTAL
declared on your Canada or US Customs Invoice. Additional valuation will have to be
purchased from an independent insurance carrier. We recommend that you retain sufficient
description and proof of value to substantiate a claim in the event of loss or damage.

Example : A load may have a declared value of $450.00 but loss or damage may result in
additional costs such as causing production delays etc. In such cases the cost to replace
is higher than the declared value of the shipment.
